I am a full-time instructor and the founder of Black Dragon Kai with clubs located across Queensalnd. At Beaudesert and Jimboomba I have established two full-time training centre .
I have attended and completed courses with the International College of Martial Arts at the Gold Coast campus in the areas of Sport and Recreation, Fitness and Workplace Assessment and Training and in 2005 a Diploma in Sports Coaching, then in 2006 an Advanced Diploma in Sports Coaching, , specifically in the martial arts
Within my community I have been actively involved with local council and schools, in promoting self defense techniques. At the Beaudesert State High School and The Kooralbyn International School I teach as part of their sports curriculum
In 2002, I was awarded the Australia Day Award for Senior Sports Person within the Beaudesert Shire
My history in the martial arts encompasses a number of styles that I have been involved in from the age of eight. Initially in Kung Fu and Tae kwon do and then in Zen Do Kai – Freestyle Martial Arts , and Muay Thai where I progressed through the ranks. I have also trained in Iaido/Kenjutsu as well as Arnis/Eskrama/Kali and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I am presently a 3rd Degree in Iaido (Ishin Ryu Iadio) and 2nd Degree in Iaido-Kenjutsu-Meishinkan. I have also trained in the traditional martial arts of GoJu-Ryu and also Judo, Aikido, Savate & Kempo.
